Abstract

With this research, a guide is created where entrepreneurs can visualize what are the requirements to opt for financing, to create a solid economic base to enhance their micro, small or medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs). The aim of this study is to “Determine the possible sources of state financing for ventures led by women, through the analysis of the existing options in the national market, having these sources as alternatives for growth, starting in 2025, in Costa Rica”. As for its scope, it is aimed at being a guide for women entrepreneurs, mainly. In addition,
it contemplates the different sources of public or mixed financing, such as programs that combine public and private resources. The methodology focuses on the documentary review of funding sources, with special attention to initiatives aimed at women. In addition, an analysis of the information available on the websites of public and mixed entities that offer financing to ventures is carried out. Among the main results is that the requirements to qualify for these credits, although they are many, in most cases are not difficult for the owners of SMEs to meet.
The main conclusion was that there are sufficient sources of financing for women-led ventures in the country, but they must have their projects in order and registered with the corresponding entities.
