Abstract

Education today must have the characterization of being an integral model, in which students can enrich their learning, being a "continuous, permanent and participatory process that seeks to harmoniously and coherently develop each and every one of the dimensions of being. (ethical, spiritual, cognitive, affective, communicative, aesthetic, corporal, and sociopolitical), in order to achieve their full realization in society”. (Catholic University of Córdoba, 2008, p. 1)

Taking the above, as a worldwide reference, different countries are choosing to integrate the subjects of science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and art in their packages in individuals, "in order to develop skills for the 21st century and the fourth revolution industry that transforms society, which is why STEM-STEAM education has expanded remarkably in recent years” (Zúñiga and Juca, 2020). Finally, the STEM Strategies (known by its acronym, Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) "serve to designate the academic disciplines associated with science, technology, engineering and mathematics and are used as a basis to support the development of science, technology and innovation from education”. (Rooms and Espitia, 2016).
