Design of preventive police training on domestic violence aimed at high school students

The author reflects on the personal and social detriment that domestic violence is causing to Costa Rican citizens; identifying some specific areas of the damage produced, recognizes it as one of the most serious obstacles to human development, an effect that leads teaching and security professionals to prevent the phenomenon, therefore, this article aims the main objective is the design of preventive police training on domestic violence aimed at high school students, using the qualitative research approach, which, through significant learning, will encourage a culture of non-violence in them. The main findings of the research indicate that, in the institutional preventive programs of the Costa Rican police, there is still no training aimed at high school students, which focuses comprehensively on the issue of prevention of domestic violence. Consequently, it is necessary to design a comprehensive training that provides continuity to those developed in primary education schools, solving the enormous lack of information about this phenomenon to significantly mitigate it.
