Abstract

The project investigates the intervention of a conflictive police event, using conciliatory mediation between the parties. An interview is applied to police officers to find out their reality when they intervene in a conflict, to design a basic intervention protocol, thus reducing the probability of abuse of authority. The main reason why an officer incurs abuse of authority is due to the lack of control over his emotions, lack of knowledge of soft skills and the lack of a basic protocol that guides an approach. Thus, it is necessary to manage the control of emotions,
relaxation techniques and conflict mediation.
