Abstract

Virtuality brings challenges to traditional education, especially those rural areas, as presented in the San Pablo de Oreamuno Educational Center in the province of Cartago, where it is difficult to obtain the necessary tools to give students adequate attention. Taking into account that both oral and written language serve as the central axis of the student, who needs due attention, with a personalized and differentiated follow-up for those who require it; as well as the full development of their communication skills to be able to detect, attend and intervene in any disorder or difficulty that directly affects the student. Therefore, the teacher must be prepared to respond effectively to curricular development, without forgetting the use of technology as an instrument to support the comprehensive training of students to have critical and reflective, personal and responsible thinking, improving the methodology, didactics and the practice of reading and writing, supported by virtual tools.

The purpose is to achieve an advantage in teaching-learning for first-grade children and thus collect information on those consequences that learning using technology brings and thus create new forms of effective and adaptable teaching to each student, with those changes that have occurred. educational planning in Costa Rica suffered with the arrival of the COVID-19 pandemic and the challenges that virtuality entails in the reading and writing process, taking into account the characteristics of the rural area where the educational center is located. You must have the abstract in Spanish and English, which will include the main objectives of the research, scope, methodology used, main results and conclusions. The abstract must be clear, coherent and concise, for which it is suggested to review and verify data, syntax, spelling, not to fall into errors and not to include equations, figures, tables or bibliographic references. The abstract is 120 words maximum and must accurately reflect the content of the article. Your writing must be in the third person.
