Abstract

This article pretends to sustain a general perspective about daily work as a highly important evaluation item in order to efficiently operationalize the Curriculum Transformation requirements in Costa Rica as to show how imperative it is to sensitize the scholastics to the paradigmatic changes implied in evaluations in front of the new macro curricular arrangements, under the premise that our system is grounded on a summative evaluation model in which written exams were pillars. Facing this challenge, it is necessary to refresh the classroom methodology in order to energize the daily work and assure a trustable and valid assessment for the achieved students’ skills. In order to do that, it is essential to conceive collaborative work as a major ally as it is a practical and suitable evaluation strategy for the new guidelines.
